Antwerp fifth dock no - SMET-F&C - HRAB75 +DCP

In Antwerp's Fifth Port Dock No, the existing quay walls are being reinforced to lower the water bed, so that larger ships can moor in the future. The work to reinforce the quay walls is being carried out by SMET-F&C. 

SMET-F&C commissioned TAB Anker to deliver 344 HRAB75 anchors, which are needed to anchor the quay wall. The anchors with a length of 36.5 metres in steel quality 670/800 are delivered with double corrosion protection. At the construction site, the anchors are delivered in two parts. 

Four test anchors were installed in the preliminary phase, which were successfully tested in acceptance tests.

The production and delivery of the anchors required for the first phase of this project has now been completed, and the remaining anchors will be processed in the coming years.
