For our valued client Smet Group Nederland BV, we were commissioned to supply the materials for anchoring a quay construction on the Smulders site in Vlissingen. Smet-F&C successfully applied 237 heavy-duty self-drilling anchors with diameters of 101.6 and 114.3 mm and increasing lengths up to 49.0 meters long. In total, this involved approximately 600 tons of anchor materials.

Our client, High 5 Solutions, has been commissioned to install anchor piles to conduct pile tests on the Maasvlakte, The Netherlands. The purpose of the pile tests was to investigate whether steel foundation piles installed as a test can actually withstand the compressive forces in practice as calculated in advance.

In the Fifth Port Dock No in Antwerp, the existing quay walls are being reinforced to lower the water bottom, so that larger ships can moor in the future. Anchoring is an important part of the new construction.
