Quay construction Smulders - Flushing - Smet Group Nederland BV – HTAB101,6 and HTAB114,3

For our valued client Smet Group Nederland BV, we were commissioned to supply the materials for anchoring a quay construction on the Smulders site in Vlissingen. Smet-F&C successfully applied 237 heavy-duty self-drilling anchors with diameters of 101.6 and 114.3 mm and increasing lengths up to 49.0 meters long. In total, this involved approximately 600 tons of anchor materials.

Because of the specific foundation and the physical conditions on the construction site (working from a jack-up island), there was very good contact during the preliminary phase and during the execution in order to always arrive at 'best-for-project' solutions. For example, various 'custom-made' drill heads were applied in consultation and the logistical processes were coordinated on a weekly basis. Smet-F&C was able to make good productions and deliver a beautiful piece of work.
