Port of Rotterdam - Maasvlakte - High 5 Solutions - HTAB101

Our client, High 5 Solutions, has been commissioned to install anchor piles to conduct pile tests on the Maasvlakte, The Netherlands. The purpose of the pile tests was to investigate whether steel foundation piles installed as a test can actually withstand the compressive forces in practice as calculated in advance.

TAB Anchor was commissioned by High 5 Solutions to supply the Anchor Materials for the test which consisted of HTAB101.6x30.0 mm Anchor Rods, approximately 180 pieces with a length of 6 meters and 24 pieces with a length of 4 meters. These Anchor Rods were assembled into anchors of 45 meters. The Anchors were supplied together with the necessary couplers and nuts. Our SI-anchors were successfully installed into the Pleistocene sand (80 MPa) and then applied for the transfer of forces from the reaction frame when pressure loading Steel Foundation Piles. The photos show how our Anchor Materials were applied around the test piles.

After performing the test load, our materials were removed by our client's sonic drilling technique and applied again for the second session of testing. This is a nice form of reuse and avoids wasting materials. A sustainable solution with an eye on the future.

High 5 Solutions is one of our valued customers and we thank them for their trust in our products and for the pleasant cooperation.
